Corsair K70 MK.2 Keyboard: Overview

The Corsair K70 MK.2 low-profile keyboard currently sells online for $129.99 (Amazon | Newegg). It comes in a standard box with an illustration of the product along with its list of features.

Once we have the box open, we can see the keyboard nicely packaged inside of a plastic bag surrounded by the cardboard box packaging. This prevents minor physical damage that may result from shipping.

The K70 RGB MK.2 comes with quite a few accessories from the box. There is an installation guide with a warranty guide booklet, a few textured WASD and QWER keycaps, and a keycap puller. A large detachable soft-palm wrist rest also comes included in the box for added comfort for long typing or gaming sessions.

With the keyboard out of the box, we can see it has a standard K70 layout with dedicated volume and multimedia controls. The entire top plate is made of the same metal as previous Corsair keyboards. This is to achieve the best light distribution possible.

With four rubber coated feet, the K70 RGB MK.2 can maintain a firm grip on a smooth surface. Although the body is mainly plastic with the metal top, the keyboard feels very heavy and well built.

Let’s jump into the next section where we talk more about the features of this keyboard.
