Toshiba MC04ACA 5TB HDD Announced
Lower storage latency HDD suited for cloud-based workloads Toshiba Corporation’s (TOKYO:6502) Semiconductor & Storage Products Company today announced that it will launch the MC04ACA series, Toshiba’s first enterprise capacity hard disk drive (HDD) optimized for servers supporting cloud-based applications and analytic workloads. With a 3.5-inch form factor, the MC04ACA series delivers up to 5TB[1] of storage with 7,200 rotations per minute (RPM) performance, reducing storage latency and making the MC04ACA series suitable for workloads and storage requirements generated by cloud computing. Mass production shipment in the Japanese market will start from the end of May.
