World’s first laptop workstations equipped with Intel’s 6th Generation Core-i7 and Xeon processors ideal for CAD and 3D Modeling on-the-go
MSI Computer Corp, a leading manufacturer of computer hardware products and solutions, introduces the thin and light WS60 & desktop performance WT72 series, the world’s first mobile workstations equipped with Intel’s 6th Generation Core i7 and Xeon processors and NVIDIA’s newest Quadro mobile GPU.
Designed for supreme mobile performance, MSI’s WS60 and WT72 series feature Intel’s Skylake Core-i7 and Xeon processors, widely acclaimed for their power and energy saving capabilities with up to 30% increase in performance compared to previous versions. The both series also come with NVIDIA’s latest Quadro GPU based on the Maxwell architecture, which delivers a 50% performance increase over previous models.
“The combination of Intel Skylake processors and NVIDIA’s newest mobile Quadro GPU gives our workstations the necessary power to perform any task regardless of location,” says Andy Tung, president of MSI Pan America. “We made our new workstations more than a workhorse by packing it with a myriad of other cutting edge components and technologies to complement its processor and GPU.”
MSI’s latest workstations will feature a variety of technologies, including a SuperPort or Type-C master connector that transfers files with speeds of up to 1,000 MB/s and supports dual 4K displays, Error Correcting DDR4 memory that automatically detects and corrects errors to prevent data corruption, and Super RAID4 storage for blazing fast read speeds of over 3,300 MB/s.
To enhance the multimedia and user experience, MSI also equipped its new workstations with audiophile grade Dynaudio speakers featuring Nahimic Audio enhancer for heart pumping crisp sound with deep bass, True Color Technology screens for the most accurate visuals available, and the new SteelSeries backlit keyboard with Silver-Lining Print to eliminate eye strain.
